Meet Allen G. Parton and the World’s Most Decorated Assistance Dog Endal

endal-and-owner
I had the privilege of speaking with one of the world’s most famous man-assistance dog teams. Allen G. Parton sustained life-altering injuries while serving in the Royal Navy during the Gulf War. His story of recovery and triumph involves a loving family, his nurse wife, and an unlikely Labrador retriever who failed to pass his assistance-dog training due to a health problem of his own. Together, the bond that formed between Allen and his new partner Endal changed a broken and discouraged man into a vibrant, enthusiastic advocate for the disabled with a new zest for life. Read this amazing interview in FitAsFido’s celebrity spotlight. I guarantee you’ll be inspired and will never look at someone in a wheelchair or a service dog in the same way again!

You can find other fascinating interviews promoting the human-canine bond at FitAsFido’s celebrity spotlight. And if you know of someone who’d make a great celebrity spotlight, send me a message and I’ll send you a free Fit As Fido bookmark as a thank you!
