p9120010Yesterday, Wheatie joined his colleagues from the Animal Friends Reading With Rover program to promote literacy and dog companionship with Storybook Walk to Frick Park. While Wheatie and his fellow pooches added smiles to everyone’s day, others enacted beloved children’s books, like Where The Wild Things Are and Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom. Activity areas included creative play, face painting, and a paint-your-own-Eat-N-Park-smiley cookie. And the event even provided healthy snacks of water, juice, and fresh fruits throughout the park. A real Fit As Fido day — keeping body and mind active and entertained!

Wish you could have been there? Make your own Storybook Walk — find your nearest park, pack a healthy snack, grab a couple books, whistle for Fido, and head off for your own adventure! Fresh out of interesting books? Then order a copy of Fit As Fido, which Wheatie will personally paw-tograph for you and mail with free shipping and a complimentary Fit As Fido bookmark! A great gift for you and your dog-loving friends! And for other great dog books, check out Bibliodog.com for their latest recommendations. So grab a book and get Fit As Fido!
