A report on pet food spending in the UK showed that pet owners are especially savvy about what they feed their beloved pets.
Charles Sweeney at Bestpet Pharmacy said: “Responsible pet owners who ensure their cats and dogs have a healthy diet and regular exercise can help reduce expensive vet bills in the future.”
A survey conducted in 2008 by the Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association also showed that nine in 10 pet owners are aware of the potential health effects of various kinds of pet food.
