Making sure you have enough protein in your diet is a very important step for weight management. Fit As Fido includes great protein-rich recipes -- including a high protein breakfast treat!

I dunno - what about the research showing that starting the day with a serious dose of protein (up to 1/3 of your daily requirement) keeps you more alert through a morning and is a better way to break your overnight 'fast' than faster-digesting (than protein) carbohydrates? Have you seen this article from the University of Maine examining various studies of the effects of different macro-nutrients on satiety when they're consumed separately or in combination for breakfast? http://www.fsn.umaine.edu/0207camire.pdf
I tend to be a protein shake girl, myself - my normal 16 oz. homemade shake can take me at full steam from 7 a.m. to noon or later, but everyone's mileage will vary.
