Bicycle Built for Two — You and Fido!

In my neighborhood, crocuses are out in full force, daffodils are poking out their little heads, and people are discovering they didn’t get all of their dog’s poo this winter as melting snows reveal a bounty of petrified “treasures.” Yep — Spring is officially here. Spring’s a great time for jump starting that exercise routine. And if you’re one of those people who came up with lots of excuses for not getting Fit As Fido over the snowy winter, order your copy of Fit As Fido today so you’ll be feeling great and looking fabulous for bathing suit season.

Fit As Fido received a message about Dog Powered Scooters the other day. Bicycling is a great way to get into shape. I used to bike a lot — until getting the dogs. Since then, my bike has been collecting quite a bit of dust, while my hiking shoes are generally covered with a fresh coat of mud. Well, thanks to Dog Powered Scooter, we dog owners may be able to dust off those bikes again and enjoy biking AND time with Fido. Check out this photo from their website showing how it’s done:

Those scooters look pretty cool and by the looks of it, you can hook up more than one dog. What a fun way to get around!!

  2. Let me know if you give this a try!

What a totally cool product. I just started biking with Zeus my pit bull, and have been thinking about getting one of the Springer Dog Joggers to make it easier and safer for him. I’d WAY rather have one of these scooters!!

  4. Sweet! When you and Zeus start biking, be sure to send me photos to post!
