Where’s Endal?
You know those wonderful kids’ books, Where’s Waldo, where you hunt for the sneaky man in the striped hat among the chaos? Here at Fit As Fido, we similarly hunt for Endal, Jr. among life’s chaos as he brings hope and hugs to service men and women in the UK.
Of course you remember Allen Parton and his wonderful service dog Endal. In his senior years, Endal mentored the young and scrappy Endal, Jr. to fill Endal’s vest and we all smiled as Endal, Jr. gave his first transatlantic interview here at Fit As Fido.
Endal, Jr., or EJ to his friends, has been a busy pup. He was most recently spotted giving his dogged support for his favorite charity Hounds For Heroes, a great organization that provides service dogs to injured service personnel. In true Fit As Fido fashion, EJ has assumed the role of canine personal trainer for a team of amateur cyclists from Waitrose as they prepare for a 3-day ride from London to Paris and back, starting June 4th. You can help by making a donation to these inspired riders as they support the men and women who so selflessly serve.
Cheers to EJ and his band of riders!

Notice those little pups behind Allen, gazing admiringly at EJ. Looks like he has some future service dogs in the making, carrying on Endal's work!
